In Norway!

Well I am here in Norway after a 24 hour trek. I flew from San Francisco, to London, to Munich, to Copenhagen, and finally into Bergen. Crazy connecting flights! I nearly missed my flights in Munich and Copenhagen - I had to run thru the airports to make my flights. I was profusely sweating by the time I got to the gates...I think I scared the nearby passengers waiting for the same flight ;)

Elisabet, and her mom and dad were waiting for me in Bergen, where we had to run to the car to catch the Ferry on time. I am so tired from all this running!

Today Elisabet and I are going into the city center and getting there via the Bus - woot! I am looking forward to taking the public transportation here.

Tonight Elisabet's family and friends are coming over for her birthday - fun fun fun!

The escalator on BART during 'rush' hour...

I love BART. Bay Area Rapid Transit. When riding BART there are a number unspoken rules.

1. Have your ticket out BEFORE you get the the ticket turnstiles. Nobody wants to stand behind you while you rifle thru your purse, briefcase or TimBuk2. That shit pisses everyone off.

2. The left side on the escalator is NOT for standing. Get your shit on over to the slow lane on the right side!

2a. In the mad rush to get on the escalator in the mornings, never compromise.... I hate it when people get off the BART and run toward the escalator. I will trip you. If you let one person ahead of you - then it is a battle to swim up the stream. Latch on to the fish in front of you and don't let go until you get to the top of the escalators. Many a times I had my face nearly in the ass of the person in front of me.

3. I hate it when people line up for BART. Cut to the front of the line by using the hovering technique. You hovering around behind the first person in line until the train is pulling into the station. When your train arrives, the doors open - then BAM! walk right on to the train. Seriously who's going to say anything? Just a bunch of drones heading home from the FinDi.
