I'm so frustrated.

Danny and I got our first ever washer and dryer. "Good glory", I thought "No more hauling our clothes to the laundrymat!"

We moved into our new place and the first big purchase was the washer/dryer. The Installers came and hooked them up and I thought we were ready for business! Only after doing a few loads did I realize that my clothes had shrunk and the colors had drastically bled, which rendered a good amount of my clothes un-salvageable. The one item that I was most upset about was the bathing suit I got from DesNeiges Designs

So I get on the horn and speak to a nice man at Sears and he files a claim and it was a quick and painless call. On the call I scheduled an appointment for the technician to come the following week to correct the issue (and finally be able to wash my cotton shirts and expensive denim jeans in COLD water)

Then on Saturday, out of the blue, we get a call from the Sears tech, telling us he'll be here in 15 mins. Weird, I thought, as I had scheduled for them to come the following week. Well its the same jackasses that hooked it up initially - and they are here to fix the problem. When they finish up, one of them corners me and wants to talk with me about a damage claim I filed for $400 of clothes which had been ruined. [Damn me for washing three pairs of my Seven jeans] He offers to pay me $400 out of his own pocket for the mistake.

Call me stupid, but I didn't feel honest taking money from this poor installer who probably makes $10/hour. I wish I did - as Sears has been no help at all and I vow NEVER to buy anything at Sears again. I suggest you do the same. After countless hours talking to nearly 20 people at Sears, I had to finally filling out a report with the Better Business Bureau (BBB kicks ass!) They routed me to Emma "Customer Advocate" of Sears. Emma was a total bitch, but I thought I would get somewhere with an "Advocate". Nope. Nada.

And I sit here feeling like a fat ass as three pairs of my expensive jeans that I have loved and cherished, no longer fit. My only option is to produce some sort of receipts (Which who keeps receipts for material goods once they've been worn!?) to the installer. The part of this that irks me the most is that Sears directed me to speak to their contracted company doing installations! I paid Sears for the delivery and installation! Grrr.... So if you stuck with me this far - thanks for listening to my gripes.
